Advanced Endoscopy Centre
The Advanced Endoscopy Centre at GastroPlus is equipped for all routine endoscopy work as well as advanced therapeutic procedures. The suite holds three sets of Olympus endoscopes, including a slim paediatric scope, with ERBE electrocautery, a C-arm, a CO2 insufflator and a water irrigation pump, so that diagnostic and treatment procedures can be carried out in the same setting.
Advanced Endoscopy Centre in Ahmedabad
GastroPlus Digestive Disease Centre is a dedicated centre for gastrointestinal care in Ahmedabad, and the endoscopy unit handles both routine endoscopy work and advanced procedures. Advanced work here includes complex ERCP in pancreato-biliary malignancy, large common bile duct stone extraction, metal stent placement, balloon dilatation, capsule endoscopy, argon plasma coagulation and the management of all types of gastrointestinal bleeding.

Routine and advanced procedures
Alongside routine endoscopy, the centre carries out the following advanced procedures.
- Complex ERCP in pancreato-biliary malignancy
- Large common bile duct (CBD) stone extraction
- Metal stent placement — self-expanding metal stents (SEMS) for the oesophagus, duodenum and colon
- Achalasia balloon dilatation
- CRE balloon dilatation
- Capsule endoscopy
- Argon plasma coagulation
- Management of all types of gastrointestinal bleeding
Endoscopic ultrasound and third space endoscopy
The team offers both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). It is also gaining experience in third space endoscopic procedures — endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) and gastric peroral endoscopic myotomy (G-POEM).
